Mr Matte Clay provides a strong hold to short hair and dries into a matte, natural looking finish.
To achieve the best styling results, Mr Matte Clay should be administered on towel-dried hair, or added post blow-dry.
Mr Matte Clay also provides hair health benefits with the inclusion of Kaolin Clay to help to calm and cleanse the scalp, balance oil production, and smooth damaged hair.
For ease of styling, Mr Matte Clay is white when first applied to the hair, before drying into a natural, colourless finish.
Reactivating Mr Matte Clay is simple – just run wet fingers through your hair to re-energise the clay to medium hold strength and then restyle as you wish.

Kaolin Clay
Kaolin clay in particular is effective for use in caring for hair as it has a low pH and is one of the most gentle clays found in nature with regard to its cleansing capabilities. By allowing your hair’s natural oils to remain intact, kaolin clay does not leave your hair feeling dried out, as may be the case with other clays used on hair.

I have been using Mr Matte Clay since it was launched. I can wholeheartedly recommend the product. You can adjust the hold strength with a little water and the scent is great. It must be good as my son is using it too! Hopefully the product range will be expanding sometime soon.

This is a great product and is much better than anything you will find in the high street shops. What I also like is it is supporting small businesses and what I consider one of the best barbers in central London.
I have been visiting for over 13 years and although Andy cuts mine, I would use any of them as they are a great bunch that who care about what they do, their reputation and their customers.
Put it this way I travel from Wimbledon twice a month to get my hair cut and I have a barber at the bottom of my road so that must say something!

For years I have been using different brands such as Fish, Tony & Guy, Fudge, Trevor Sorbie, etc. only to end up being disappointed. Most products leave your hair looking like a shiny & greasy mess or like you’ve walked into some sort of dandruff machine.
George introduced me to this a few years back and to be honest it’s the best one yet. It’s medium hold, goes on easy, styles well and is not like concrete to wash out.
